We’re in the midst of lactate testing here in Bend to try and figure out some training zones for the fall. This summer we did a field test on roller skis, but yesterday I was in the XC Oregon (and by that I mean COCC) Physiology Lab to do a test on the treadmill. After spending a week on the east coast scraping together the pieces of my life that I left there (skis, winter jackets), I’m back in Bend. I made the decision to not return to the life of the collegiate racer this year and instead race for XC Oregon. (more…)
